Directions for Muir Cottage and The Bothy, Postlip Stables, Winchcombe, Glos. GL54 5AQ.
1. From the North and South via the M5
Leave the M5 at Junction 9, Tewkesbury. Take the exit onto A46, signposted Evesham. Follow the A46 until Teddington Hands Roundabout. Take the third exit onto B4077 signposted Stow and Winchcombe. Continue on this road until Winchcombe is indicated to the right. Follow the road to Winchcombe. In the centre of Winchcombe take the B4632 towards Cheltenham for about one mile. You will pass a sign and exit to Postlip Mill on the lefthand side. Take the next lefthand exit towards Postlip Racing Stables. Follow the drive for about 1 mile. At its end the drive forks into 3. Take the lefthand fork, down a slope. Then pass 5 cottages to the right. After the 5th cottage (Rose Cottage) bear right. Enter the yard to your right and park near to the bay tree in the shape of a lollipop. The Bothy is adjacent to the yard entrance whilst Muir Cottage is just beyond the wooden 5 bar gate.
2. From the East via the M4
Leave the M4 at Junction 15. Take the righthand exit onto the A419 towards Swindon. Stay on the A419 until Cirencester. Then take the A417 until reaching the Air Balloon Pub. Take the second exit at the roundabout towards Cheltenham (East). Descend into Cheltenham. Follow the signs for Broadway and Winchcombe (sometimes Sudeley Castle) taking the B4632. Leave Cheltenham at Prestbury village and climb Cleeve Hill. Continue over the top of Cleeve Hill. After passing through two righthand bends there is a sign for Postlip Hall pointing to the right. Take this exit and you will see a sign for Postlip Racing Stables. Follow the directions as per item 1. above.
3. From the East via the M40.
Leave the M40 at Junction 8 onto the A40 and follow the signs for Cheltenham. Continue into Cheltenham where you will see Broadway, Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle signposted to the right onto the B4632. Then follow the directions as per item 2. above.
